Yesterday was the first day of the UNF Writer’s Conference. It was amazing! I have learned so much about ePublishing, and I came home after yesterday’s workshops and actually worked on my novel. I am excited about revising my work and self-publishing my novel. I have the goals to complete the novel by Halloween, the editing by Christmas, and have it ready for publication as an ebook and a tree book by March 5 – my birthday!
Carol O’Dell’s workshop “Tool Kit for Platform-Building” was very encouraging and enlightening. Her style of presentation was pleasant, entertaining, and informative. I’ve learned new ways to market my work and now have new ideas about arenas for speaking to groups about my novels. She is holding another platform-building workshop dedicated to blogging in September through UNF’s Continuing Education department. Anyone that needs help with ideas about what, when and how to blog should consider taking her class.
Tomorrow’s seminar on ePublishing should be informative and I am so looking forward to it. Anyone who enjoys writing and wants to participate in an interesting, useful conference should consider registering for next year’s conference. The dates are already listed on UNF’s Writer’s Conference website.
Sharon: Thanks for the comment. I’ll recheck Carol’s site for her class/speaking schedule and repost it here.
Hi Tracie, So happy you enjoyed the conference. We are inspired by writers like you and that’s why we do what we do. If you have suggestions for next year, please email me at sharon.y.cobb@unf.edu. We welcome your creative ideas!
Sharon
P.S. Are you sure Carol O’Dell’s blogging workshop will be at UNF Continuing Ed? The only one I see in their new brochure is Blogging for Business and Pleasure. (I’m teaching that one. 🙂
